I think I've finished my syllabus, though it may still need some fine tuning. It is somewhat frightening to note that I am about to be several people's introduction to college. For real. Not practice. It feels like something of a responsibility. My father just told me that the most important thing I can do is relax - not in the sense of a performer relaxing before going on stage - but simply realise that I must be generous with my students. They are not there against me, they are not my competition, they are not trying to bring me down. On the contrary, I am there to help them up.

I didn't think I would, but I feel really excited by the whole prospect. Although swamped. I'm not sure how I'm going to fit in all my other responsibilities. But I suppose it will all come out in the wash.

Also I'm teaching Batman. Hee!
