I'm actually glad I had to read this in bits and pieces over several days - if I'd read it all at once I think it might have been overwhelming.
Ianto's focus on Jack's hands after he returns - oh, that's distressing, and Jack's interpretation of it is only a touch off the mark. Now they've both had incredibly disturbing adventures with the Doctor, and while they don't have many details of each other's experiences they know they were hard.
I can't believe you sort of skimmed past fisting! You fiend! You get lumps of coal for that! (Of course, that's a niggling complaint. I have to complain about something.)
