just paid my phone bill over the phone. it was easy, no extra cost, and wonder of wonders, they were really nice to me. the whole process took about two minutes. i wasn't on hold for even one second.
perhaps the universe is attempting to reaffirm my faith in life and humanity.

i just hope that it's not the beginnings of some cruel joke...
