Oh, the drama in this is delicious. Like traciaknows, I could hear the actors too, something that sadly rarely happens for me when I read.

I was wondering about the extra line breaks; thought they were just resultant of a formatting issue. It's pretty late here, and I'm sleepy, but the fic seemed like it would flow fine without them. Meh.

I'll second teaboyfan's nod to the sweet ending scene, and add a pinch of resentment for you at it ending there. :P
