I only got off my ass because I broke down at two in the morning and called my boyfriend sobbing, and he's a fan of the tough love - i.e. I'm not going to see you this week unless you go to the gym. Which sucks, but it's exactly that kind of immediate consequence that I need. I find being a student is hard that way - all the consequences are so far off, so intangible, it can be hard to work up that motivation.
