Eleventh Doctor

OMG OMG OMG. via such_heights:

They're announcing the Eleventh Doctor tomorrow.

Oh God. I am so nervous. I thought I'd become ready but now I'm in a nail biting frenzy. It's not even that I don't trust them... I do, I do! Their casting has been impeccable so far. I have loved Nine, and all the companions, and I'm eager to fall in love with Eleven. But Tennant captured my heart and mind in a very special way, and just.... ARGH.

For those of us on Eastern Standard Time, the announcement should be made at 12:35pm EST. (that's 5:35 pm, London time.)

I think I'm nervous because I'm unfamiliar with all the names being tossed around, so I really have no idea what the heck is gonna happen.

...yeah. I know some of them - I am deeply fond of Paterson Joseph (did you ever see the mini-series of Neil Gaiman's Neverwhere? He played a most Doctor-y individual there. BUT I am nervous nevertheless. ACK.

OMG! I don't know if I can wait to watch the Confidential, although that would be the best way to find out. I'd probably have to go to rather extreme lengths to avoid reading about it first, though. Argh!

Oh, they even used gender-neutral pronouns when referring to Eleven! *flails*

I'm not sure how I will react if it's a woman. Is that sexist of me? Gah. I hope not.

I just looked up on the bbc website who the contenders are. I'd be happy with John Simm or Paterson Joseph. Having been with Doctor Who since the THIRD Doctor I have lived through a few incarnations. I do have a soft spot for 10 but you newbies will see, it will be OK in the end.
Trust in the mighty Beeb!
