that's exactly how i got into Torchwood. "gay Spike kisses? I'm there." though i watched everything out of order — my first episode was Greeks Bearing Gifts and I only watched the NewWho which pertained to Torchwood at first.
my favourite Hartfic of all time is two drabbletty pieces by a friend of mine (here and here) and while Jack is the character I feel most confident and comfortable writing I think Hart might be my favourite, thus the devouring of anything, anything with him in.
my favourite thing about the Doctor is that combination of total omnipotence and total vulnerability, which is why Ninth has a special place in my heart, because he embodied that juxtaposition so damn well.
