summer solstice
today is my last day in Roma, and wouldn't you know that it's the longest day in the year.
it's been an interesting adventure, definitely.
my loathing for most of the people in the program has settled into a tepid dislike, except in cases where it simply grew into contempt.
also, i made some friendish accquaintances, which is also nice. and one friend, in the person of my writing prof.
Rome...i loved it. except when i hated it.
staying here a month probably had something to do with that.
i feel different, though not in any quantifiable or expressible way.
i was told this experience would change me, and i think that it did.
i will be back, i'm sure.
today we are going to the Pantheon to listen to Dante being read in Italian, of course, and after that to a huge dinner at Der Pallaro (the restaurant of the huge portions, and neverending food!) also, i must pack.
anyway, probably won't be able to update from London...
so i'll probably be back sometime monday from the City.
