ravishing disunity
am posting from work, as everyone in office has gone to board meeting.
might have to dash away quickly though, alas.
d. left for san diego this morning. brad and i took him to the airport, at the ungodly hour of three thirty in the morning. hurtling along pitch dark roads, rain making the road vanish inside drops. listening to the Two Towers and Fellowship of the Ring soundtrack...
felt in between the cracks of life for a brief while.
said goodbye to d. at the gate, and watched as he walked away through the incredibly heightened code orange security (it just keeps getting worse, doesn't it?). noticed that i am the sort of person who stands and watches as people fade off into the distance, and that d. is the sort of person who never looks back. interesting, that.
today i am unbelievably tired, and cannot wait to go home from work. and it's only 2:40. wrestling with the greek gods this morning seemed foggy and far away, and i just want to curl up somewhere in a nest and become unconscious.

I'm going to be spending 2 and a half weeks in rome now because it was too expensive to leave any earlier.
