visions of beauty and joys forever

am in seattle having a glorious time with E.
"say hello, E."
"hello"

some nice gentleman has just approached us with various release forms. we're going to be in pictures! well, okay not really. more like advertisements for diversity at the university of washington. no doubt our multi-colored heads bent over this mac together are too enticingly p.c. to resist.

pretty soon, i intend to pull up some porn, 'cause wouldn't that just be a hoot?

anyway, we've been having a peachy keen time. used bookstores, the children's lit. section of the library, sushi (the eel was the best, although fear not, kali-wellwishers, i abstained from anything raw due to that pesky ulcer!)
e. got me "the wolves in the walls" which she then read aloud to an admiring audience of me and her housemates. i am sleeping in the ex-friends' room. there is mud on the walls, but e. has lent me her very special silken satiny comforter, so everything is okay. there are flowers everywhere (one of her housemates is a florist.) also there is good weed. and techno at seven in the morning. that, i might be convinced to do without. perhaps.

seattle is beautiful, the mountain is off in the distance peeking in and out of the fog.
"it's not fog, it's smog. fog is what happens in the winter. stop romanticizing!"
"shut up, i'll be romantic if i want to. hmph."

speaking of romance, devin (e's boyfriend) thinks that we (e. and i) "should just give in, and have sex". i don't believe he really wants that to happen.
"he's just sort of saying it in a fatalistic kind of way."
"i hope he's not too worried about it."

the photographers, are now leaning over us with strange instruments, as we try to keep typing, seemingly unawares.
"yeah, really: do people, when looking at college brouchure photographs, think that the subjects of the photos are not aware they are being photographed?"
"you spelled 'brochure' wrong."
"nonsense."

they showed us the pictures. this digital age is really fascinating.
"what did you think, e?"
"the pictures were kinda weird. it looked like my head wasn't actually attached to my neck, but resting (otherwise unsupported) in my cupped hand."
"i thought we looked cute."
"in a headless horseman kind of way, sure."

okay, that's all for now. i'll write again when i have a moment away from signing autographs. it's not easy being in such demand, you know.
