back from the wasteland
just got back yesterday from a whirlwind trip to the Wasteland. it was...odd and unsatisfying in some ways. it was nice seeing the brad, and visiting just a taste and eating a chocolate souffle. it was also nice seeing karl and getting very very very high. other that that though, it felt lonely and small and unhomelike in only the ways in which something that has once been home can.
today was spent apartment hunting, cleaning the house like a mad scrubwoman and then cooking a gourmet dinner for ten. if i never see another stuffed shrimp or berry tart, it may be too soon. also have been fighting with the maternal unit. although getting along okay with the paternal one. i can never get along well with both of them at the same time. it's like being friends with one parent inherently pisses the other one off. sigh. tomorrow is my uncle's 70th birthday, and so cakes must be gotten tomorrow for the event. how many cakes feed 50? and then on sunday everyone (small little grand children included) is going to the zoo and then coming here for dinner. there may be paella.

magnetgirl are taking my oldest niece to see Rent instead. should be amusing.
my shooting head pains have now begun to reach epic proportions, so that is all for now.
