Jul. 7th, 2005 10:57 amThe world is a very frightening place, and the trouble with having close family spread out over it is that every time something like this happens, my heart explodes into a staccato beat of terror. They are so far away, and the world explodes to touch all of us.
Nothing like a burst of terror to wake you up in the morning.
My sibs in London just managed to call, so all is well (for us) for another day, but I think my aging process has advanced significantly this morning. And it always hurts when a city I love is wounded - it seems callous to think of the city-spirit when people are being carted out with burnt off faces, but oh London.
And oh, the world....
What more will this do?
