What is it about looking at pictures of yourself? Why do they always get uglier the longer you look...much like text loses all meaning if you stare at it long enough? Why are we just composed of chaos and imperfection?

I think I sound like an existentially challenged angsterrific lunatic who has just discovered Keirkegaard at the age of fifteen. Woe!

I think you have it both easier and harder than I ever would with a photograph because of the professional aspect, to look at yourself and try think of it as art or business or what have you, instead of the intensely personal self-portraits we are all used to. I suppose in this scenario, you would be the Renaissance sonnet, and I would be a Maya Angelou poem. (I like you better, actually...)

However, I have discovered it is HARD letting people take pictures of you, can't imagine what it would be like with someone you didn't know. And the Edie was gentle ;-)

In any event, I think you bring light to the cesspool (of course, the question is whether we really want that other stuff illuminated...but there's always the amusement value. I'm certainly entertained. You should write a book)
