artichoke-ginger suicide pact

I have just, spilled artichoke oil over anything and everything in the near vicinity of myself, my computer, the desk and the floor. After which, in a mad paper-towel frenzy, the glass half-full of ginger-ale followed in short order. (Incidentally, I hope the artichoke oil appreciated my efforts to make sure it did not die alone.) As I watched in horror, the glass then slid beautifully off the oily desk and shattered on the floor.

I think I've picked up all the glass bits now.
