Hi guys. I'm doing a little f-list trimming. There's some of y'all that I think only friended me in order to keep up with fic posting; rest assured all that stuff, plus fandom discussion etc. will still be posted unlocked, and I continue to love to talk to y'all. But if we haven't had much or any interaction/you very rarely post, etc.... - I'm doing a little spring cleaning. If I de"friend"ed you, and you want us to continue interacting, cool! Just drop me a note. Thanks.

p.s. Americans, change your clocks!

ETA: I've finished this round of maintainance now. So if you're still on the list, you're still on the list. =D

There's something ironic about springing forward when it's still winter. WTF?

The US changed it for some weird economic reasons. We had no choice but to go along, cause that would have been hella confusing otherwise.

*quietly maintains that spring should technically begin on Feb 2 on account that summer solstice is colloquially known as 'midsummer'*

Sorry. Personal hang-up. Those who reckon by the solstices/equinoxes should probably be compensated for this bullshit. ;)

There's snow on the ground and I want more sleep. I celebrate solstice etc, but don't reckon by them. I don't reckon that much, frankly.

Eh, it's arbitrary. It's also an excuse to drink and celebrate.

We (meaning me) are big on the drinking and celebrating of these things. Figuring by cross-quarters allows me to drink and celebrate each season twice! (Once for me, once with people who do it by the quarters.)

Note: okay, so that's not the ONLY reason, but it's still a fine excuse.

YOU ARE THE FIRST PERSON TO INFORM ME OF THE TIME CHANGE.

I was really confused why it got so late so fast last night.

the clock in my car has been 'wrong' since we went back in the fall, so it's right now
my comp clock does itself(dirty!) and my alarm clock is still off by about 14 hours due to the power blipping and me never fixing it

who needs clocks to tell time?

Shouldn't daylight saving time start by the end of spring, beginning of summer or something? It's still winter there, right?

DST starts late October, lasts till February in here. It ended about three weeks ago. It really is effective, during that time of the year more specifically. It can work during winter as well, but I suppose it wouldn't be as effective. But what do I know?

I kind of like it, I love my days lasting longer, not getting dark 'till almost eight. =)

Hi.
In case you're wondering who that new person, with an empty journal, on your friends-list is, I wanted to introduce myself.
I have friended you because I would like to follow your fic and updates. I haven't figured the whole blogging thing out yet but I'm optimistic.

Always nice to be friended, thank you! If you're following my journal, you might see that things are a bit stressful 'round here at the moment, but rest assured there'll be new fic soon. And if you end up using your journal more as a blog than a fic finder, drop me a note if you'd like me to add you back. Looking forward to getting to know you in comments and so on. Welcome aboard.
