bagels and other sundries

i'm currently postponing lunch as long as possible so as to have less time in the office when i return. my life is a series of unimportant machinations it feels like sometimes. also, there were free bagels and muffins in the lobby this morning, and since i am constitutionally incapable of turning down free food, i'm not quite as hungry as i usually am at this time of day. they say that the best bagels west of the hudson are in los angeles. i wonder if that's true. they're certainly not here, although i will admit that it was pleasant to eat a fresh bagel that had never been frozen (as i do with the ones i import from h&h) and that actually approached a bread-like consistency.

i'm feeling a bit better than yesterday. less fumey. magnetgirl and her lovely boy plan to visit this weekend, and no doubt fun and adventure will ensue.

my lower back is currently griping at me with the beginnings of moontime, and it's making me growl to myself under my breath.
