much needed down time this weekend (unfortunately no packing, though).
i hung out in borders on saturday, reading trash that i don't feel like buying (like victorian mystery novels by anne perry, one of my not-nearly-as-guilty-as-i-should-be pleasures), and eating a lemon bar. i hate to say it, but the borders cafe is better than the barnes and noble one. i feel slightly traitorous even mentioning it, but there it is. the sweets and pastries aren't stale, they have a huge selection of soups and sandwiches, and they have couches in the cafe itself. afterwards, d. had to work later than expected, so i nipped out and had a drink with mike and nishat...
we really should have begun packing on sunday but the fates intervened as the liquor store was closed, and none of the convenience stores would give us any boxes. we weren't nearly as upset as we should have been. so the day was spent with "hobbit-weed", grapes, entenmann's ultimate cinnamon buns and batman beyond cartoons. it was really nice.
in other news,
