ills and woes
Jul. 8th, 2003 06:43 pmit is so hot.
my neck is out, and the stomach ills from july 6 have still not faded.
maternal unit believes that i may be starting an ulcer, especially problematic due to my problem with dairy.
i have been instructed to eat nothing but unseasoned low quanitities of starch for the next week or so.
gah. this is especially irritating since i am craving nothing but fruits and vegetables (feeling a deep desire to emulate
sykii in her fruitporn week). sigh.
work goes on apace, though i continually feel that i am spending far too little time doing the specialized theatre work that i was hired for, and much more time doing tedious and exhausting office bullshit that i have neither the required patience nor dexterity for. however, once again my beloved company has managed to pull a show out of their collective ass, making Love and Other MisHaps a seriously gleeful fun time instead of the horrible middle school revue i thought it was going to be.
went out with Holly to see Spellbound last night, great great movie. Highly recommenended to all and sundry. we were both sitting on the edges of our seats, gripping the armrests in tension. all that for a spelling bee. and let's just say, i had a special sympathy with the winner...
after movie, went out and had drinks at Moonshadows. nice little tavern, though i wish they'd get air conditioning. perhaps i noticed it more last night because, like a goodlittlekali, i didn't have a single drink. damn this stomach.
brought the gang back to my place around two, and smoked. (which apparently did not go down well with the upstairs neighbor, as i received an irate call from the landlord this morning, notifying me that noise levels were unacceptable. i hate the upstairs guy so much. we were talking! one is, i believe, still allowed to sit in one's own apartment and talk. sigh.
more later, i feel an icing for my neck, and a slice of bread coming on.
