I am sorry I missed that post, because I would have been able to commiserate hard-core, feeling much the same.
My mini-solution was going to the gym, which sounds counterproductive because it takes more time, but exercise (1) gives me positive mental endorphins and chases away lingering depression (2) ups my appetite and helps me eat better meals so I'm getting the right nutrients and (3) improves my energy levels and sleeping patterns.
It's not a cure-all, but it's helping. Other than that, I keep writing ''push through'' on my wrist as a little motivator.
