I have to admit that I was a little nervous about the reception of this little segment when I saw how Gwen-heavy this story had gotten in the writing. But it felt authentic and real to us, and we're very opposed to the demonization of her that seems to happen in certain corners of fandom, though she certainly irritates us like hell quite often. But it's the kind of irritation that you can have with your family; they piss you off, but it doesn't matter. We were fond of her to begin with, and writing her made us fall in love with her. But we really wanted to present it without diminishing and even adding to the Jack/Ianto relationship, which is of course the driving force behind the story, and who we love together!

If I were scum of the universe, I'd certainly want to take a nibble! Perhaps even if I weren't ;-)
