...please spare some. Daniel's cousin, Brian -- younger, just about my age -- is in the hospital, after having suffered two strokes and a heart attack. He is waiting for open heart surgery right now; chances he will survive this look... well, you can imagine.

Daniel is, naturally, freaking out a bit. Something of an understatement. I don't even know what to say.

Things are a little rough round here.

If you have any good thoughts to spare. You know.

I mean, really, right? What else could explain 4 of my close friends having autoimmune disorders, my friends and their loved ones getting the big C in their 20's and 30's and the insane amount of strokes happening to people we know in the last 6 months? I just-it's like I hear a horrible story EVERY DAY these days-and not in the news...in my circle of friends/extended circle! I remember when things like this would happen once or twice a year...I am just fucking puzzled and disarmed...!
