floating down the grand canal

i was so dead exhausted when i got home last night.
my head was throbbing so hard, i thought it might implode.
i managed to keep it together until about 10. even managed to eat a bit, and smoked some, watched some buffy and then passed out with a thunk.
twas a bit sad, because the wonderful Dandelion came up to give me back rubs and cuddles, and that was really all i could manage, and that very passively. oh sigh. but he held me all night (as far as i know) and we dreamt of venice, and drifting along the water streets. the light was so amazing. i wonder if that's what it will actually look like.

sweet potatoes

not a bad day, all things considered.
it was gorgeous out, blue skies, sun, the whole nine yards. a little chilly still, but nothing to bitch about.
at least not by me.

walking to class from work today, i realized something that i don't often think about.
i'm a lucky girl. i have almost everything i've ever wanted. i mean, sure, i'll probably never be a rock star or an actress.
but i'm studying what i want to study, i live by myself as i want to live, i have the man that i always wished for, parents who adore me, and good friends and i still dream big dreams. i don't look exactly the way i want to look, but i'm beginning to realise that's pretty small in comparison to everything else.
i yam what i yam.

got a lot of work to do yet tonight, but i don't feel too bad about it for some reason. even if i am still abysmally tired.
it seems weird but things that were so hard a few years ago are less so now. i suppose everything has its season.
you just have to get into the rhythm of it.
