so, last night was really relaxing.
i drank chardonnay, curled up in the blue cushioned chair, and was waited upon hand and foot. there was summer sausage, and sharp cheddar, and roasted red pepper dip. there was even chocolate pudding. d. is the bestest.

we watched buffy and are all caught up to the third episode of the current season. eep. i'm so addicted to that show.

however, i am sad now. because d. also bought me a small miniature rose plant. i named it Carnation (i like a plant with a good identity crisis), and it was going to come live on my desk at work. he even had a conversation with a man in the elevator. (this guy started talking to it, don't ask.)

but, but, while i was having breakfast at the vegan smoothie place (i've become entirely too addicted to the tofu scrambles with homefries, sour dough bread and tahini sauce...i think they're flavored with crack) i left Carnation on one of the tables.

i was just terrorized by a guy wielding his truck like a weapon of mass destruction.
i don't think they should allow lunatics to drive around several tons of fast-moving steel.
the guy was allowing his truck to slide down hill, and was at the same time shrieking curses & racial epithets and giving the finger animatedly to various pedestrians, myself included. grah. people are scary.

on the way home from class today, i realised that the somewhat elderly bus-driver was listening to radiohead. she carried on a conversation with the guy sitting directly behind her.
passenger: What is this you're listening to?
bus-driver: This is Radiohead.
passenger: Radiohead?
bus-driver: Yeah. They're a dysfunctional goth band. But we all have a little dysfunctional goth inside us, don't you think?
passenger: uh...yeah...
