going to see ani today!!!
(feel the excitement)
hopefully she will play a lot of old stuff, as i am almost entirely unfamiliar with revelling and reckoning. i own it, but it is alas in the city, and i have listened to it once, and that not thoroughly.

just read an amazingly funny story here:
http://www.caitlin-r-kiernan.com/journal.html
(entry for april 18th.)
the moral is, don't take your favorite authors out for sushi unless you a)know where you're going, and b)live nowhere near wisconsin.

i like mornings lately. they've been being cool with the promise of heat.
and another thing. i've never understood everyone's prejudice against the passive voice.
less strong, my green monkey windowpane!
just 'cause it's indirect, and likes to be done to. grrr.
(and no, my liking of this particular voice has nothing to do with my sexual preferences. really.)

hmm. well, cait kiernan writes the sequels to neil gaiman's original sandman series. (those are comic books, go out and read them RIGHT NOW.) she's also written a couple of novels, one of which i've read entitled "silk" and it's a pretty decent first novel.
you should read "neverwhere" by neil gaiman also, and see what you think.

gaiman is one of my favoritest authors, and i plug him whenever possible.

and cause of gaiman, kevin and i giggled insanely in london when we first got on the tube and heard "mind the gap"
(i bought a midn the gap thong..! *laff*)

and i adored "good omens"

AND i have the book of magic. :)
