damned with faint praise
Dec. 5th, 2003 10:01 amI have been paying exactly zero attention to LJ of late.
Sigh. I hope everyone's doing okay. At some point, I'll check my backlog friend's list and find out for sure. Possibly not today though.
I got my honors thesis back. I am graduating "cum laude", which is good, I suppose, considering that I took the first couple of years of college off, and have received something like 5 F's on my record, where honors students are not supposed to have any. The situation is still somewhat depressing however considering that one of my readers very clearly did not actually read my thesis, except for a few pages of the preface, and some of the conclusion. Considering all my work, I find that extremely aggravating, in fact, it makes me want to go out and kill things. Also the fact that cum laude is again at best a mediocre honor, and while better than nothing at all, still fails to really distinguish me from all the people applying to graduate school. Ah well, Kali strikes out yet again.
At any rate, today is my last day of college classes, and that is, I suppose, still something to celebrate.
