Dec. 28th, 2004 03:48 pmLast night was another spin on the social whirl that has been the last week or so. My cousin's in town - probably the closest thing to a big brother I've got - (the way in which there's no word for 'cousin' in Indian languages - they're all just brothers and sisters is probably a post for another time) and the pair of us, as well as
magnetgirl,
raisedeyebrow, E. and another old friend from high school all went out and drank copiously. It was great fun, and the salutary effect of alcohol on my cold cannot be denied. Perhaps I burnt it out? At any rate, no longer congested, and happy to be not so.
I'm really grooving on this lack of drama thing that seems to come with quasi-adulthood. I could grow addicted to these angst free evenings. Also, people seem to get along more than they used to. However, it was a tad bit embarrassing to note that unlike when we spend time with his friends, with us, the conversation continually devolves to sex toys, drug stories, and endless bouts of reminiscing. Perhaps not so adult after all.
