Question for the ages...
Oct. 13th, 2004 01:16 amWhy do non-capital letters in blogs so infuriate so many smart people?
I get (and participate) in the punctuation, grammar, spelling and netspeak issues. But capital letters? Is it just another way to tell the wheat from the tares? Is it an effort to stand firm against the crumbling of the English language when faced with the onslaught of illiterate AOL'ers? I really want to know.
Anyone want to give me a good reason to continue slowing down enough to hit the shift key?

Date: 2004-10-13 10:28 am (UTC)Now in IM's I don't give two suqirts of piss about it. In blogging it really depends on the person doing the writing - but in the longer forms of writing I think capitals just look right, they convey a sense of caring about the words that you've chosen. Lower case seems to scream out, I can't take the time to actually care about my own thoughts, so why should you care about them?
Well that's my two cents.
