a grownup costume

i'm actually feeling a little better this morning. it's a beautiful day, and i have an appointment to see an apartment later this afternoon. it looks like a pretty decent deal, all things considered.

i still feel so strange seeing apartments, and such. it seems like such an adult thing to do. i sometimes think that i'm a twelve year old masquerading in a twenty-one year old body, and any minute someone's going to rip off my disguise.

my parents have been wonderful, and sent me a whole big bunch of money. while the desire to just spend it all right now is tempting, i won't. i'm going to try and be mature about this, possibly for the first time ever. i'm going to need this money later. especially since i know all their tax information, and i can't figure out where the hell this money is coming from. i have this horrible feeling that they're denying themselves stuff to fund me, and that just doesn't seem right. but at least i'm virtually certain that neither the boy nor i will starve. and that is a good thing.
