Date: 2008-12-28 01:27 am (UTC)To be honest, while it's always a pleasure to be nominated, and voted for, I am bemused by the whole awards thing, regardless. It brings to mind school elections in a weird sort of way. The categories often seem to meld together fics that are trying to do very different things. And it's pretty hard to arbitrate quality via majority vote.
